Živnostenský List
What is a Živnostenský List ?
A živnostenský list is a business license in the Czech Republic.
If you wish to become self employed in the Czech Republic you will need to use a Živnostenský List.
The law that governs živnostenský list is the 2 October 1991 Trade Licensing Act.
The trade licensing act allows non Czechs to undertake business under the same conditions and rules as those of a Czech citizen.
There was a change in the živnostenský zakon (trade license laws) in 2008.
Under the old system, when you registered with the živnostenský úřad you were issued a živnostenský list. This is no longer the case. If you register to be self employed nowadays, you are entered in the the Trade License Register. What you get from a živnostenský úřad is a výpis.
A výpis is an "extract" from the Trade License Register to say that you are self employed. There are times when you will be asked to provide your výpis, such as when you register for health insurance.
The system is being improved and you can now get a výpis from any czechpoint office.
Note: this is about a výpis for a živnostenský list.
A výpis for an SRO is similar, but, different. A výpis for an SRO is an "extract " from the commercial register. You can get an extract from the commercial register from any czechpoint office.
Be aware there are companies that advertise that they can get you a zivnsotensky list in 3 days.
Maybe. For Eu citizens. And that is a maybe. Since it is normal for the zivnostensky offices to take 5 working days to process EU citizens papers.
And for none EU citizens?
The company offering a zivnsotensky list in 3 days is lying. For the rest of the process youcan expect to wait 120 days.
